EPS Comitted workers arrival report
As we all know South Korea has implemented EPS (Employment Permit System) in 18 countries of Asia. Under EPS migrant workers are granted an initial work permit of 3 years which can be extended later for a year and 10 months additional work permit. After a full term (4 years 10 months) migrants should return back to their homeland.
Who can apply for EPS?
- Age: 18 to 39
- person with no criminal record in relation to a serious offense punishable by imprisonment
- person with no past record of deportation or a departure order from South Korea
- person who is not banned to travel in his/her home country
- person who meets the full eligibility criteria decided by both countries
What is the selection procedure?
All the candidates have to undergo some selection procedures for employment in South Korea. HRD Korea announces test date on the official site HRD Korea Website . The test date is fixed after the online application. The candidates should face the Reading and Listening Test.
When the candidate is selected from the test, he/she should undergo through several processes like health check-ups, visa processing, and training. All these processes are assisted by the EPS Department of the government. When everything is done, the candidate should attend 2 days training in South Korea. After the completion of training, the candidate is sent to the company for employment of four years 10 months tenure.
Departure
Before departure the candidates should apply for 출국예정 사실 at least 30 days before the departure date. When the candidate receives 출국예정 사실서, he/she should apply for 퇴직금/귀국 비용 보험 at least 2 weeks prior to the departure date. The company can assist to apply for this. The candidate should visit the bank for 출국만기/귀국 비용 보험.

Arrival Report
After the completion of 4 years and 10 months tenure in South Korea, one should return back to the home country. After the candidate returns, he/she should submit the arrival report to the sending agency.
In case of Nepal, Korean returnees should visit the EPS Section Gwarko to submit the arrival report and personal information. However after the COVID pandemic the arrival report submission can be done online too. Below you can get the arrival report and personal Information form.

The comitted workers should send an e-mail stating the return date with the necessary documents attached. The candidate should confirm the report submission through a phone call.
