Swift codes of Nepali Banks

You might have heard SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication) code is necessary to receive international payments in Nepali Bank accounts. 

A SWIFT code is a standard format of Bank Identifier Code(BIC) used to specify a particular bank/branch. It can be compared to the names of people, Ram, Shyam Hari, etc. These names distinguish them among many people. Similarly, a SWIFT code helps to identify a particular bank. 

Generally, a SWIFT code may have 8 or 11 characters.  For example, the SWIFT code for Prabhu Bank Limited is PRVUNPKA. 

Here the blue part indicates the name of the bank and the red part indicates the country. You can get the swift codes of most of the Banks in Nepal from the table given below:
