Check your active mobile numbers in South Korea

Frauds and scams have been increasing in Korea these days. Some unknown persons may use sim cards/mobile numbers registered on your name/documents. You may not even know this.

If you buy line phones or sim cards online, you need to be very careful. Your ARC might be used for issuing another phone without permission.  Today I will share a trick to check how many mobile numbers are active in Korea under your registered ARC.

You need a PC/Laptop and your digital certificate (from internet banking of your bank account) to check this status. Open Internet banking app on your mobile. Go to certificate center and send/export certificate to PC. Now open Internet Explorer on Your PC and then open the internet banking page. Click on certificate center. Choose Import/copy certificate. You will get a code. Enter the code on your mobile. Then the certificate will be copied to PC. After entering the certificate password you can log in to internet banking.  Again open another tab in Internet Explorer and type msafer.or.kr in the address bar or click here to open it directly πŸ‘† Msafer Korea

Note: You might be prompted to install some programs/software for security reasons. Install them and proceed. This site works only in Internet Explorer

Choose κ°€μž…μ‚¬μ‹€ν˜„ν™©μ‘°νšŒ μ„œλΉ„μŠ€ to check the number of active numbers. All boxes should be checked onμ•½κ΄€ λ™μ˜. Now scroll down and click on κ³΅λ™μΈμ¦μ„œ 둜그인. Enter your internet banking password and then your ARC number to log in. As soon as you log in,  msafer will show all your active phone numbers.

If any of the phone numbers are issued without your knowledge, you can report it. You can see the customer care number on the right side of each phone number. Calls are received only during office hours.
